The Haringey Business Board has been developed as a strategic body to work in partnership with the London Borough of Haringey to ensure that the Borough is one in which business can thrive and stay. The Board has a key role in interfacing with the Council and the business community to ensure the voice of business is heard by the Politicians and Officers of the Council. Acting as a sounding board for the Local Authority the Board aims to ensure Council policies and procedures are as business friendly as possible.

The Haringey Business Board is supported by a number of forums including the Wood Green Business forum chaired by Phil Page.

Haringey covers an area of more than 11square miles (28.5 km2).Some of the more familiar local landmarks include Alexandra Palace,Bruce Castle,Highpoint Iand II, andTottenham Hotspur Football Club. The borough is very ethnically diverse. Haringey is also a borough of contrasts geographically. From the wooded high ground aroundHighgateandMuswell Hill, at 426.5feet (130.0 m), the land falls sharply away to the flat, open low lying land beside theRiver Leain the east. The borough includes large areas of green space, which make up more than 25% of its total area.

The principal shopping areas in the borough are Wood Green and Turnpike Lane, Muswell Hill, Crouch End, Harringay and Tottenham Hale.
